CELTIC SETTERS IN COMPETITION

Executrix was bred virtually every time she was in season after that first litter and produced winner after winner and polished gun dog after polished gun dog. Every Celtic pup today carries Executrix genes and it is to that remarkable bitch that Celtic Kennels attributes its unprecedented success in competition against English Setters and English Pointers both in formal field trials and in day-to-day hunting. The history of her pups and their pups' pups is impressive:

AKC Futurity winner: Celtic's Hallelujah

AKC Futurity winner: Celtic's Tiny Wizard

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Dainty Celtic's Sally

NRSFTC Champion: Dainty Celtic's Sally (4 time winner)

NRSFTC National Open Champion: Celtic's Perjury

NRSFTC National Amateur Champion: Celtic's Perjury

NRSFTC National Open Champion: Celtic's Wolfman

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Rational Basis

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Perjury

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Algoma Annie

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Injunction

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Sequela

NRSFTC Futurity winner and National Champion Celtic's Sua Sponte

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Maximum Security

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Comeback Fireboy

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Comeback Sugar Bear

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Sex Appeal

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Comeback Savannah

NRSFTC Futurity winner: Celtic's Lucre

National Open Red Setter Champion: Celtic's Sua Sponte (2 time winner)

Continental Champion: Celtic's Sua Sponte

Region II Amateur Shooting Dog Champion: Celtic's Sua Sponte (2 time winner)

New England Open All Age Champion: Celtic's Sua Sponte:

Keystone Open Shooting Dog Champion: Celtic's Sua Sponte

National Red Setter Champion: Celtic's Come Back Fireboy

Continental Champion: Celtic's Come Back Fireboy

Region III Shooting Dog Champion: Celtic's Come Back Fireboy

Region I Amateur Shooting Dog Runner-up Champion: Celtic's Come Back Fireboy

This partial win list is all the more impressive when one considers that only one Irish Setter has ever won an Open All Age Championship: Celtic's Sua Sponte; only one Irish Setter has ever won an Open Shooting Dog Championship: Celtic's Sua Sponte, only one living Red Setter has ever placed in an All Breed Shooting Dog Championship: Celtic's Come Back Fireboy.

In 24 years of competition, Celtic Red Setters have over one thousand wins against English Pointers and English Setters in All Breed Field Trial Competition. Celtic Irish Setters have won Open All Age Championships, Open Shooting Dog Championships and Amateur Shooting Dog Championships. No minority breed (that is, a dog other than an English Setter or an English Pointer) has ever accomplished this, to say nothing of the fact that, in the Celtic instance, these achievements were the result of one Kennel's competition.

Having been forged in the fire of competition, we now believe that the program has earned the right to offer it's progeny to the general hunting public, thus affording those discriminating sportsmen (and sportswomen) the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of hunting over a Celtic Red Setter currently reserved to approximately 200 enthusiasts in South Africa, Norway, Australia, Spain, Japan, Canada, and many of the United States.
