April/May 2004 Now in our thirteenth year. www.Bdarn.com

Dennis, I have finished designing the web page for the Minnesota Federation of Field Trial Clubs, Inc. (MFFTC). I have added a link to your web site under or Links page, if you want to do the same that is fine. Our web site is located at www.mfftc.com .
We had some great news at our annual winter meeting. We have two new grounds that we are looking at purchasing with the MN DNR for retriever trials (near Rochester) and pointing dog field trials (western MN). If all goes well this summer, we will have 3 different types of grounds that are dedicated to Minnesota Sporting Dogs. Isn't that great! Thanks, Steve Ralph
RE: Fencing and Maintenance For The Michigan Ionia Field Trial Grounds
Dear Sir, The State of Michigan has set aside a portion of land in the Ionia Recreation Area for field trialing. It is the only horseback championship grounds in Michigan. We have an association, IFTGC, made up of representatives from the different clubs that use the grounds. The IFTGC is responsible for all the mowing and maintenance of the trial grounds and headquarters facility.
Fencing around the perimeter of the grounds is only partial and the existing fence is not in very good condition. Recently there has been a housing development come into the area near the grounds, which means increased traffic in the area. We need to fence the entire perimeter of the
field trial area to protect the dogs and the participants, as well as the property of the landowners adjacent to the field trial area.
The cost for such an undertaking is around $45,000.00. There is approximately 2146 acres to be fenced. We are asking companies such as yours for donations to this project. We are trying to work out a plan with the State of Michigan to put up signs recognizing major contributors.
We have a fund raiser planned at the Marshall Activity Center, 15325 W Michigan Avenue, Marshall, Michigan for Saturday, June 19, 2004, at 6:00 p.m.. In addition to cash contributions, we would be pleased to accept merchandise or gift certificates that could be used at this event. Please send checks made payable to:
Ionia Field Trial Grounds Committee; goods and merchandise may also be sent to: Diana Kubitz, 21224 Waubascon Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49017, by June 10, 2004.
